Just quickly posting a couple of things.

Title: Mistletoe
Author: [livejournal.com profile] sciencegeek
Pairing: Hermione/Ginny
Rating: Ok, I say G, PG at the very most.
Word Count: 164
Disclaimer: This is not endorsed by Rowling, her publishers or the WB. I do not own these characters, I just write about them. I won't be making any money off of them.
Author's Notes: Would have been for [livejournal.com profile] hp_quince but took a little too long to write. Much thanks to [livejournal.com profile] thefunkypig and [livejournal.com profile] nifftynicole for the grammar beta, [livejournal.com profile] se_spotwood for the formatting and HP-type beta, and [livejournal.com profile] klo_the_hobbit for the brit-pick. Thought of [livejournal.com profile] inell when writing this, so, Merry Christmas, hun!

Hermione knocked on the door to The Burrow, eager to put down her bags of gifts. Muffled voices and footsteps could be heard from within. Finally, the door opened. "You're late Harr...mione," The smile on Ginny’s face changed slightly – it was not quite as big and jubilant as before. A chorus of greetings followed Ginny’s, along with a couple of snickers. Ginny sighed and glanced up. Hermione followed her gaze. 'Mistletoe,' she thought, 'No wonder Ginny looked so excited,' She looked at Ginny again, who was blushing slightly, and then over her shoulder at the twins who were grinning maniacally. "Best get this over with," she murmured to Ginny and gave her a half smile. Hermione leaned forward slightly, aiming for Ginny’s cheek, when the redhead turned, and her lips met ones that were smooth, and soft, and had the slightly sticky feel of lip-gloss. Ginny pulled back, "Merry Christmas" she grinned, and took the bags from Hermione’s hands and walked towards the tree.

Title: Untitled
Author: [livejournal.com profile] sciencegeek
Pairing: Draco/Harry
Rating: G, PG at the very most.
Word Count: 500 or so
Disclaimer: This is not endorsed by Rowling, her publishers or the WB. I do not own these characters, I just write about them. I won't be making any money off of them.
Author's Notes: Post-Hogwarts. More or less inspired by the Grey's Anatomy when Sandra Oh's character got keyed. For [livejournal.com profile] emmagrant01 for being brilliant, and supportive of people in general, and [livejournal.com profile] jamie2109 for doing the AWDT, otherwise I probably would have never written. Much thanks to [livejournal.com profile] thefunkypig and [livejournal.com profile] niffty_nicole for the grammar beta, [livejournal.com profile] se_spotwood for the formatting and HP-type beta, and [livejournal.com profile] klo_the_hobbit for the brit-pick. Titles are not my thing, I think this is my 3rd Untitled piece.

"Open it," Harry said handing his last gift to Draco, Harry’s eyes were expectant. Draco took the small box, carefully removed the ribbon and paper, and took off the lid. "It's a key," Draco said flatly, looking up to meet Harry’s eyes.

"Er, yes," Harry replied. "I thought you might need it to get into my house."

"It's a key," Draco repeated, a little dumbfounded. He looked at Harry suspiciously. "Is it just a key?"

"It’s just a key," Harry affirmed.

"You're sure."

"Yes, it's just a key."

Silence reigned and Draco looked at the key again.

"...Unless, you want to move in..."

Draco looked at Harry, mouth open, and then took a deep breath. "What makes you think we should live together?"

Harry sighed. "Just think about it. It's just a thought." The 'I’m trying to make us work' was left unsaid, but hung in the air.

Harry looked at the clock on the mantle. "I have to go; I promised the Weasleys I'd be over for brunch today." He leaned over, cupped Draco’s cheek, and kissed the corner of his mouth. "I'll go home and change before Pansy’s, don’t worry."

Harry got to his feet, walked to the closet and grabbed a coat and shoes. Before he left, he poked his head in to look at Draco, who was still sitting, staring at the key. "I'll see you later," his voice rose a bit at the end.

Draco nodded. "See you."

Draco sat on the couch for several long moments, just staring at the key. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to move in with Harry eventually, but they hadn’t even talked about it. He debated calling Pansy, but figured she was busy either opening gifts, or finalising plans for tonight. Besides, he knew she’d go on about how sweet it is that Harry gave him a key and She'd probably say something like 'Harry put himself out there and it’s a huge gesture so, no, Draco, you can’t pretend you didn’t get it,’ Draco stood, stretching his legs, and looked at the key for a bit. He then decided to take a hot, long shower.

Hours later, Draco stood outside Harry’s house. He took a deep breath, put the key in the lock, and went inside. He took off his shoes, and walked through the house, and saw Harry lounging, watching the TV.

"I used the key," he said, quietly.

"You did," Harry smiled, slid off the sofa, and walked to Draco. "It's a step," He kissed Draco gently, and touched his tongue to Draco’s lips which parted automatically, his tongue moving against Harry’s. Harry pulled back after a moment, and then rested his forehead against Draco’s, their noses rubbing. "Thank you, Draco."

Draco pulled back, and looked at Harry. "I'm not sure about moving yet, but I don’t...I want..."

"I know," Harry grinned at Draco’s loss of words.

"You aren’t wearing that tonight, are you?" Draco said, eyeing Harry’s jumper.

"Not anymore," Harry said still smiling, not daring to roll his eyes with Draco still looking at him. "C'mon, let’s see what you can find for me to wear." He took Draco’s hand, and led him to the bedroom.
