Title: Untitled thus far. I'm open to suggestions.
Author: Fairly obvious, but
sciencegeek
Pairing: None.
Rating: G or PG-ish.
Disclaimer: This is not endorsed by Rowling, her publishers or the WB. I do not own these characters, I just write about them. I won't be making any money off of this, unless someone pays me to take this down.
Author's note: Inspired by the prompt for last week's Amazing Weekly Drabble Thingy (AWDT) "Somebody told me", and written while I was away. It hasn't really been beta'd so all spelling and grammatical errors are my own. This was written before HBP, and as a result it sort of doesn't fit with new canon.
It's written in the same style as the last drabble I wrote, despite my efforts. Not that I thought the last one was bad, or anything, but I wanted to write this one a bit differently, but it didn't work out.
Harry doesn't remember exactly what happened, but he remembers suddenly seeing Voldemort. He doesn't remember what he shouted at him, but remembers that his blood cried for vengeance. He doesn't remember the curses he used, but remembers not feeling in control of himself, and that he felt filled with a power that wasn't his own. He vaguely remembers someone telling him to stop, and that shortly after a female voice screamed a curse at him. He remembers the room snapping back into focus as he fell, and Dumbledore appearing, peering over him. He remembers clinging to a sobbing Hermione in a corner of the Hospital Wing. He remembers feeling wretched and horrified at his actions as he saw Madame Pomfrey work on the still body of Ronald Weasley. He doesn't remember crying.
