Title: Belonging
Author:
sciencegeek
Pairing: None really - Tosh centric, Ianto/Tosh friendship, mentions Ianto/Jack
Genre: Gen
Rating: G
Wordcount: 147 words
Spoilers: Probably the entire first season of Torchwood - especially "Cyberwoman", "Greeks Bearing Gifts" and "End of Days". If you squint really hard, possibly "Captain Jack Harkness". Oh, and this IM conversation of the Torchwood site.
Author's Notes: Much thanks to
thefunkypig for giving this a look over. Any errors left are mine. I don't write often, and this is my first in the Torchwood fandom. Comments, con-crit welcome. My apologies for the title - I'm crap at coming up with them.
Disclaimer: This is not endorsed by the BBC. I do not own these characters, I just write about them. I won't be making any money off of them.
IANTO: You wanted to be part of Jack's little gang?
TOSH: But we are. Really we are.
TOSH: Aren't we?
Out of everyone at Torchwood she thought of Ianto as her closest friend, especially after what happened with Mary. She thought he understood what it felt like to come to work and wonder if the others trusted you, to feel left out. Yet Ianto never told her about his relationship with Jack. She saw how he melted in Jack’s embrace and it stung, a little, to know he hadn’t told her, to know she was the last one to become a part of “Jack’s little gang”, and even then she wasn’t sure. But, when they returned to the Hub, coffee in hand and Jack gone without a trace, she wondered if any of them had truly been a part of his little group after all.
