So after listening to CBC... Texas has an amendment, that was added to ban gay marriage (and/or civil unions, I supposes) that states:
"This state or a political subdivision of this state may not create or recognize any legal status identical or similar to marriage."
So, identical to marriage would be...marriage, yes? Or am I reading that wrong. I mean, even though I disagree with the whole "Let's ban gay marriages" thing, I kind of see what law makers were trying to do...but it kind of reads weird.
Although, I do find it kind of hilarious that a state may have accidentally banned marriage. Even if it's not true, it is kind of funny.
